Angela Griffin, President

Angela Griffin President of Coles Together, holds a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Springfield and has over 16 years of economic development experience with the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity where she served as a team leader and liaison with national site selection firms and corporate location specialists.
As President of Coles Together, Angela is responsible for the overall management of the organization. She draws on her professional experience, as well as an extensive network of development allies throughout the State of Illinois, to ensure the success of industrial projects in Coles County. Angela also serves as the administrator of the Coles Together Enterprise Zone and on the boards of the Coles County Community Development Corporation, the Eastern Illinois Railroad Company, the Salvation Army, and the Illinois Development Council. |
Anthony Pleasant, Vice President

Anthony earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University in geography with concentrations in environmental geography and geographic techniques and spatial analysis, with a minor in environmental science. While at Eastern, Anthony was awarded the Illinois GIS Student of the year. Anthony previously worked at Coles County Regional Planning and Development Commission as an Assistant Planner.
Anthony's primary responsibility at Coles Together includes providing computer-created maps depicting potential sites for economic development as well as maps depicting infrastructure and resources the community possesses. Other resposibilities include creation and maintenance of a database containing all potential sites and their attributes. |
Trena L. McMechan, Executive Assistant

Trena holds an A.S. in Secretarial Science from Lake Land College. Trena's background includes work with the Clark County Farm Service Agency and as a legal secretary.
As Executive Assistant of Coles Together, Trena is responsible for office management, coordination and scheduling of events and other staff support. Trena also handles most of the day to day administration for the Coles Building Corporation and the Coles County Community Development Corporation. |
