The campaign will specifically target out of state companies identified through an extensive regional economic base analysis. Companies which have recently made a public offering and are in expansion mode and suppliers to the automotive industry will be some of the prospects. ECIDC anticipates identifying approximately 1,000 companies. "I am delighted to congratulate ECIDC on being selected to receive a regional marketing contract from DCCA," said DCCA Director, Norm Sims. "This contract provides for DCCA and ECIDC to work together to encourage job growth. Through this partnership, ECIDC will conduct a regional business analysis of their selected industry." Jack Schultz, President of ECIDC said, "Historically, ECIDC has represented the region with marketing materials and strategic planning workshops with regional civic leaders and economic developers. I feel this new marketing effort will be very beneficial to the entire nine county area and will generate much interest in East Central Illinois."
